Welcome our new Executive Director, Kate Dykes!
The Board of Governors of the Middletown Arts Center (MAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Dykes to Executive Director effective October 21, 2019.
Kate is a fixture at MAC. She began her love for the arts with youth classes at MAC and more recently has served as either a contributing artist, student, instructor or staff member for the past 20 years. An artist in her own right, she is a skilled jeweler and metalworker. A graduate of Ohio University, she brings significant professional experience in public relations, business development, nonprofit arts operations, media and marketing.
“Her arts and professional experience will provide vital leadership as we work to establish a firm financial foundation, and further engage with our students, visitors, exhibiting artists and community. The Board and Staff are unanimous in their enthusiasm for Kate in her new role and are confident that she will lead the MAC to even greater success” offers the MAC Board of Governors.
Kate shares, “I am very excited, and honored, to promote the wonderful work done by the MAC Board and staff. I look forward to championing our mission and continuing to build upon MAC’s 62 years of success in arts programming, captivating exhibitions, community engagement and connecting people with art. As a Middletown native, I care deeply about our community, and I am thrilled to share my passion for enhancing lives with engaging arts experiences and to strengthen MAC’s role as both a cultural and community anchor.”
