Opportunities at the MAC
The Middletown Arts Center is expanding! We are now accepting class and workshop proposals from artists and qualified instructors to join our education team!
Classes at the MAC are taught once a week over an 8-week period for adults and 6-weeks for Youth and Teens. Priority needs are: Evening Ceramics, Youth/Teen classes, 1 Day Classes, Advanced Photography, Stained Glass and other glass art classes (fused, mosaic, etc.).
Workshops are diverse in medium and format, typically One Day Saturday or evening events. Workshops are guided casual Make It – Take It art making experience. Participants enjoy coming together with a community of makers without the pressure of committing to a full session of classes.
SUMMER YOUTH INSTRUCTORS are needed for the last two weeks of June 2023, Monday - Thursday. This is for 8 days, 2 hours per day (9:30am-11:30am). The age groups in need of an instructor are K-1st grade, 2nd-3rd grade, and 4th-6th grade. There are approximately 5 students for our youngest group, and 15 students in the older age groups. Typically the summer program is centered around a theme. Last year we had "Day at the Zoo", "Fun with Food" and "Exploring the Southwest".
We encourage proposals for all visual art mediums, academic focuses such as art history and theory, and cultural arts.
When you're finished, please make sure to email us any corresponding documents, a minimum of three photos of your work, and any other important info.
