Explore the art of portrait painting using oil and acrylic paints in this beginner-friendly class that focuses on the foundational techniques needed to capture facial likeness, expression, and personality on canvas. Students will learn about facial proportions, color mixing for skin tones, brushwork, and layering techniques unique to both oil and acrylic mediums. While no prior portrait experience is necessary, some general painting experience is recommended to get the most out of the course.
 
The supply list will be the same as Painting Fundamentals with John Wiehe – All Levels and can be used for this class as well.
