Create a Sacred Space of Your Own
Join artist Jean Ann for a hands-on, beginner-friendly ceramics workshop where you’ll learn the basics of slab building while crafting your own personal altar.
Using step-by-step guidance and provided templates, you'll cut, score, and assemble your altar from clay, then personalize it with meaningful decorative elements like moons, stars, crosses—or any symbols that speak to you. Each altar will include a built-in cutout for easy wall hanging, making it both functional and beautiful.
This is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, get creative, and make something sacred that’s uniquely yours.
 
ATTENTION: Finished pieces will be kiln-fired after the workshop and available for pickup at the MAC during regular business hours at a later date.
All materials provided. No prior experience necessary.
