Chair Yoga Description: [ BEGINS 1/22/26 ] This gentle class is designed for those who have limited mobility, balance challenges, or prefer a seated practice but still want the benefits of yoga.
You will: Stretch and strengthen your body using a chair for support. Focus on breath awareness and mindfulness Improve flexibility and circulation safely. Connect with your body in a creative, art-inspired environment. Chair Yoga allows everyone, regardless of mobility, to experience the relaxing, restorative, and inspiring aspects of yoga while enjoying the artwork and peaceful atmosphere of the Community Room.
Moonlit Mindfulness- A Yoga Experience: Experience the harmonious blend of movement and creativity in our 60-minute Yoga class. During exhibition transitions (2-3 weeks), yoga will meet in our Community Room, a serene space inspired by art and nature. This unique session invites you to connect with your body and breath while surrounded by thought-provoking artwork, creating a space for introspection and expression.
Bring your mat, a water, an open heart, and a willingness to explore the creativity within and around you.
What to Expect:
- Warm-Up: Begin with gentle stretches to awaken your body and mind, focusing on breath awareness while absorbing the artistic atmosphere.
- Flow Sequence: Engage in a dynamic flow that seamlessly integrates strength and flexibility. Together, we will explore a variety of poses, encouraging mindfulness and a deeper connection to the present moment. Each transition will be guided by your breath, allowing you to find your own rhythm.
- Creative Reflection: Throughout the practice, feel free to draw inspiration from the art around you, letting it inform your movements and intentions.
- Cool Down and Meditation: Conclude the class with calming stretches and a guided meditation, offering a moment of reflection and gratitude for the practice and the environment.
All levels are welcome in this transformative experience that celebrates the union of yoga and art. Join us for this unique opportunity to flow, breathe, and connect in a beautiful and inspiring space!
