What is the Annual Fund and Membership Campaign?
The Annual Fund and
Membership Campaign is being implemented in the fall of 2011 to
supplement the operating funds of the MAC.
What is the difference between the Annual Fund and
Membership?
Membership is a benefit-based program that encourages individuals to
become active in the life of the MAC. When you become a member, you
give a gift that gives back to you. In return you receive access to
class registration, free studio time, personal invitations to
opening receptions, exhibits and special events; a
quarterly newsletter,
discounted tuition rates and facility rental fees.
Anyone making a minimum contribution of $25 (individual) or
$60(household) is automatically a member of the MAC. Any gift above
this level or any additional gifts are now considered a part of the
Annual Fund and are 100% tax-deductible.
Why do we need an Annual
Fund Drive in
addition to Memberships?
In today’s economy, additional gifts are vital to sustain the Middletown Arts
Center’s programs and
services and continue the tradition of providing the highest quality
in visual arts at minimal cost.
The Annual Fund Drive in addition to Memberships is a viable
solution to sustaining the mission of the Center .
What is the goal of the 2011-2012 Annual Fund and Membership
Campaign?
The Board of Governors has set a goal of $68,000.
How long does the Campaign last?
The Campaign will launch in the fall and runs through the end of the
fiscal year (June 30).
Why
should I support the Annual Fund and Membership Campaign?
Because the money you give to the campaign directly or indirectly
goes back into local and regional communities by providing the
highest quality educational opportunities, programs and exhibits at
the lowest cost so art is accessible to all.
In many cases, our exhibits and programs are free.
How
much and how often will I be asked to give?
Giving is a personal decision.
We encourage you to give at the time and level that is best
for you. We provide opportunities throughout the year to give. For
those who are able, we encourage joining the Masters’ Circles of
giving which begin at the $100 level. By giving on a regular basis,
becoming a part of the Founder’s Circle of $1,000 can be achieved in
a year.
Your gift in any amount is greatly appreciated!
What
are Masters Giving Circles?
Masters Giving Circles honor those donors who support the MAC year
in and year out. Giving
Circle donors will be listed in a special section of the Annual
Report and at the Annual Meeting in July.
Special recognition is awarded for those who give at these
levels for five years consecutively.
Will my
gift make a difference?
Absolutely! Every
tax-deductible gift is used to strengthen the MAC.
Your gift sends a powerful message that you believe in the
MAC and its mission. And you may designate your gift to specific
programs, exhibits, scholarships or special projects such as the
MACMobile—mobile art classroom or wherever the need is greatest.
Your gift to the Annual Fund and Membership Campaign makes
you “part of the art” and a vital member of the MAC family.
